Rhoda is an American sitcom television series created by James L. Brooks and Allan Burns starring Valerie Harper that originally aired on CBS for five seasons from September 9, 1974, to December 9, 1978.[2] It was the first spin-off of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, in which Harper reprised her role as Rhoda Morgenstern, a spunky and flamboyantly fashioned young woman seen as unconventional by the standards of her Jewish family from New York City.

Although Chartoff and Winkler were enthusiastic about the script and the idea of Stallone playing the lead character, they were hesitant about having an unknown headline the film. The producers also had trouble casting other major characters in the story, with Apollo Creed and Adrian cast unusually late by production standards.[citation needed] Real-life boxer Ken Norton was initially sought for the role of Apollo Creed, but he pulled out and the role was ultimately given to Carl Weathers.[18] Norton, upon whom Creed was loosely based, fought Muhammad Ali three times. According to The Rocky Scrapbook, Carrie Snodgress was originally chosen to play Adrian, but a money dispute forced the producers to look elsewhere. Susan Sarandon auditioned for the role but was deemed too pretty for the character. After Talia Shire's ensuing audition, Chartoff and Winkler, and director John Avildsen,[3] insisted that she play the part.[citation needed]
Gordon and Hill were originally going to make a western but when the financing on the project failed to materialize, they took The Warriors to Paramount Pictures because they were interested in youth films at the time and succeeded in getting the project financed. Hill remembers "it came together very quickly. Larry had a special relationship with Paramount and we promised to make the movie very cheaply, which we did. So it came together within a matter of weeks. I think we got the green light in April or May 1978 and we were in theaters in February 1979. So it was a very accelerated process."[12]
In Candy's room, there are pictures of her heroes on the wallBut to get to Candy's room, you gotta walk the darkness of Candy's hallStrangers from the city call my baby's number and they bring her toysWhen I come knocking, she smiles pretty, she knows I wanna be Candy's boyThere's a sadness hidden in that pretty faceA sadness all her own, from which no man can keep Candy safeWe kiss, my heart's rushes to my brainAnd the blood rushes in my veins, the fire rushes towards the skyAnd then we go driving, driving deep into the nightI go driving deep into the light, in Candy's eyesShe says, "baby if you wanna be wild, you got a lot to learnClose your eyes, let them melt, let them fire, let them burn"'Cause in the darkness, there'll be hidden worlds that shineWhen I hold Candy close she makes these hidden worlds mineShe has fancy clothes and diamond ringsShe has men who give her anything she wants, but they don't seeThat what she wants is meOh and I want her so, I'll never let her go, no no noShe knows that I'd give all that I got to giveAll that I want, all that I live to make Candy mineTonight
